My 11 year old son had been diagnosed with Tourettes Syndrome and been told by the consultant that there was nothing that could be done for him, other than mind altering drugs which had horrible side effects. In despair, I contacted Heidi, who reassured me that she thought she could help. After some non-invasive tests, we were subscribed various supplements and altered his diet, starting with avoiding wheat and dairy which he was found to be intolerant to. Within two weeks, his symptoms were reduced, and within two months, the symptoms disappeared. This was eighteen months ago, and he continues in good health. Despite a prognosis that suggested the symptoms would increase during puberty, this has not happened. We just stick to the diet and the Tourettes does not affect his life. After a very relaxed yet informative consultation Heidi suggested I may have a food intolerance. She carried out a food sensitivity test which indicated an intolernace to 3 of the 46 foods represented in the test. After both the consultation and the intolerance testing, Heidi formulated a nutrition programme incorporating detailed information, on how to avoid certain food groups and include others, she also advised me on supplements and vitamins that would improve my health and recommended a daily plan going forward. To date I am still following the advice I was given (with the occasional re-lapse). The session changed my way of thinking about food and instantly improved my fatigue and eradicated my eczema. I have informed my friends of Heidi’s professional service and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone else.

I attended a group session run by Heidi who explained about ‘Eating for Energy’. I enjoy a healthy varied diet and Heidi taught me how I could improve my diet even more by making small, simple changes – I found the information on unrefined grains particularly interesting. Heidi also successfully demystified GI foods for me and now I have a clearer idea of the types of foods that slowly release energy and keep me fuller for longer.
